Update, 4:50 p.m.: Memorial Drive Extension is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A school bus and two other vehicles were involved in a crash on Trenton Road on Tuesday afternoon. The school bus did not have any children passengers at the time, and the bus driver was not injured.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:47 p.m. on Trenton and Kennedy Road, according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien. The crash is causing traffic congestion and motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the crash scene can be cleared.

In a separate crash, at 2:22 p.m., police responded to a vehicle hitting a telephone pole at 2527 Memorial Drive (Memorial Extension). Memorial Drive extension is shut down between Rushton Lane and Abby Lane.
The vehicle was occupied by two individuals and the driver is being flown to Nashville by Life Flight helicopter. The passenger is being treated by EMS.
Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.
