TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 eastbound mostly clear from afternoon rollover wreck

Update, 4:40 p.m.: Eastbound traffic was mostly clear through the area.

Update, 4:10 p.m.: Traffic was starting to move, but was still backed up to about mile marker 5.

Update, 3:15 p.m.: Traffic was backed up over 6 miles to Exit 4.

Update, 2:50 p.m.: Traffic was at a standstill from about mile marker 6 to just past Exit 11.

Update, 2:30 p.m.: Traffic was beginning to clear from the wreck site, but was still backed up 3 miles to just before Exit 8.

Update, 2:15 p.m.: Eastbound traffic was backed up for 5 miles to Exit 8.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A rollover accident has been reported on Interstate 24 eastbound at mile marker 13.2.

As of 1:44 p.m., I-24’s right lane was closed at the scene of the accident. No ETA has been given for when it will reopen.

Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
