Update, 10 a.m.: While most main roads are improved, side roads are still icy throughout Clarksville and Montgomery County.
Conditions may worsen tonight, with the low dropping to the teens.
Update, 9:45 a.m.: The Clarksville Police Department responded to three crashes overnight and two more this morning, according to spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The Street Department continues to focus on clearing city streets, however, the roadways are still icy and slick, he said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Residents are urged to stay off the roads this morning, as overnight single-digit temperatures have turned yesterday’s snow into sheets of ice.
At 6:30 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that early morning road conditions are bad in all parts of the county.
Interstate 24 westbound is especially icy between mile marker 16 and 11.

“Deputies continued to respond to wrecks throughout the night in all parts of the county. If you can stay home today, we strongly encourage it,” the advisory said.
All area schools are closed, along with Austin Peay State University, and Fort Campbell, Clarksville and Montgomery County Government offices.
Gov. Bill Lee has closed all state offices.
“All citizens are urged to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel where possible on Friday,” Lee’s office said.
