Update, 4:50 p.m.: Clarksville Police have just reopened Riverside Drive. Drivers should expect traffic to remain backed up or slow as traffic clears.

Update, 4:40 p.m.: With rush hour approaching, Riverside Drive remains closed, as Lifeflight has had to land on the highway to transport one of the injured.

Two others were transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville.

Traffic is backed up on Second Street.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Riverside Drive is closed in both directions after a wreck that left one vehicle flipped on its side.

At about 3 p.m., two vehicles wrecked at the entrance to McGregor Park, Clarksville Police spokesman Detective Michael Patterson said.

Riverside is closed between Spring Street and McClure.

It appears at least two people will be transported by ambulance, but police are still working the scene.

At 3:20 p.m., northbound traffic was backed up to Commerce Street. Southbound traffic was backed up to Second Street.
