UPDATE: Ringgold Road back open after tree fell on power lines

Update, 1:45 p.m.: The roadway is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A large tree has fallen across Ringgold Road and hit some of the power lines, causing the roadway to be shut down, according to Clarksville Police.

As of about 10:50 a.m., the Street Department and CDE have both been notified and are working to get the roadway opened back up, police spokesman Scott Beaubien said.

“CPD recommends the public take an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared,” Beaubien said. “Crews are working as fast as possible to restore services. It is unknown how long the roadway will be shut down.”
