UPDATE: Providence Boulevard back to normal rush hour traffic after wreck

Update, 4:50 p.m.: Northbound traffic is mostly back to normal rush hour levels.

Update, 4:35 p.m.: Southbound traffic is mostly clear, and northbound traffic is moving slowly.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – All lanes of Providence Boulevard were closed Friday afternoon because of a wreck.

At about 3:39 p.m., a truck went across both lanes of traffic and struck a pole, according to dispatch.

Providence was closed in both directions while emergency crews clean up the wreck.

As of 4:20 p.m., northbound traffic was backed up past Riverside Drive on Second Street. Southbound traffic was backed up almost to Dover Crossing.
