Update, 9 a.m. Thursday: The pedestrian involved in Wednesday’s crash is Sharneice Thornton, 19, of Clarksville. At last report she was in stable condition, according to Lt. Gill.

The crash is still under investigation. Anyone who saw the crash or might have video should contact Investigator Gadberry, 931-648-0656, ext. 5221.

Update, 7:50 p.m.: The road is back open. No further information on the victim or the wreck has been released.

Update, 7:15 p.m.: Traffic on Tiny Town Road is clearing, but Peachers Mill Road remains closed.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A young woman was hit by a car on Peachers Mill Road early Wednesday evening.

At about 5:12 p.m., a car hit a young woman, about 19 or 20 years old, Clarksville Police Lt. Charles Gill told Clarksville Now.

The wreck was at Peachers Mill and Millstone Circle, near the intersection with 101st Airborne Division Parkway, and at 6:50 p.m. the 101st westbound was backed up for about a mile from the intersection.

Investigators have had to close the road. CPD asks the public to avoid the area or be prepared for long delays.

Members of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Crimewatch Facebook group reported a medical helicopter landing at Heritage Park nearby to transport the victim.
