Update, 9:30 a.m. Saturday: A preliminary CPD investigation indicates that a car traveling westbound crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien. The front-seat female passenger of the eastbound car died at the scene.
The female driver of the vehicle that crossed into oncoming traffic was transported to Tennova Healthcare, where she was treated for minor injuries. The female driver and a juvenile back-seat passenger of the eastbound vehicle were both flown to Nashville-area hospitals and were in stable condition on Saturday.

This crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending, Beaubien said. Names have not been released, pending next-of-kin notifications.
Update, 9 p.m.: One person was killed and one was critically injured in the 101st Parkway wreck, according to Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media.
Interstate 24 is clear after an earlier wreck there.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several vehicles crashed Friday evening on 101st Airborne Division Parkway, and a separate incident had Interstate 24 eastbound backed up.
101st Parkway
At about 5:47 p.m., the vehicles crashed near the West Fork Bridge, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien. There were injuries, but details have not been released.
The eastbound lanes were completely shut down, and only one westbound lane was open. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews work to clear the roadway.
Interstate 24
A crash just past mile marker 9 in the eastbound lanes had traffic backed up to about mile marker 6.
