Update, 4:25 p.m.: The roadway is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A motorcyclist was critically injured Monday afternoon in a crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
At about 3:07 p.m., Clarksville Police responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash on MLK near Economy Drive, according to a news release from police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien. The motorcyclist was being transported by LifeFlight to Nashville for medical treatment.
The southbound lanes of MLK Parkway have been reduced to one lane, causing significant traffic congestion, and one northbound lane of MLK was closed as well. At 3:45 p.m., traffic from the wreck appeared to be backing up onto Interstate 24 eastbound at Exit 11. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared and the roadway is fully reopened.
