Update, 6:15 p.m.: The roadway is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is currently conducting traffic control for Clarksville Fire Rescue for a structure fire at Sonic, 1805 Madison St.
According to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien, it was reported that smoke was coming out of the walls at around 1:30 p.m. CFR had to run the fire hoses across Madison Street while responding to the scene.
“The roadway will be completely shut down in both directions. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be reopened. For details on the fire, you will need to contact the CFR PIO,” said Beaubien.
