Update, 6 p.m.: Traffic is now backed up past Exit 19.

Update, 5:10 p.m.: Traffic is returning to normal on I-24 in Clarksville, but there’s a secondary wreck in the westbound lanes near mile marker 15, with traffic backed up to mile marker 18.

Update, 4:45 p.m.: The slowdown in the westbound lanes starts at about mile marker 16.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A wreck near Exit 11 had Interstate 24 westbound tied up Friday afternoon.

At about 3:30 p.m., traffic was backed up from about mile marker 7 past Exit 8 to Exit 11.

Eastbound traffic was also slow from about mile marker 5 past Exit 4 to mile marker 9.
