TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 tied up by crash near Exit 8 in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 was tied up this morning over a crash near mile marker 8.

At about 7:38 a.m., a vehicle ran off the roadway and into the tree line, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

As of 9 a.m., police were at the scene and all traffic was being diverted to the shoulder. Traffic was backed up past Exit 4. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.
