Update, 1:20 p.m.: Both eastbound lanes of I-24 are now open, and traffic is mostly clear.

Update, 11 a.m.: I-24 traffic is now backed up past Exit 4 to mile marker 3.

Detour traffic on Warfield Boulevard, Rossview Road and Dunbar Cave Road is all worsening.

Update, 10:45 a.m.: Traffic is backed up on Rossview Road westbound on the east side of the intersection with Warfield.

Update, 10:30 a.m.: Warfield Boulevard/Highway 374 southbound is backed up because of detoured traffic from Interstate 24.

Dunbar Cave Road westbound is also backed up on the east side of the intersection with Warfield.

Drivers should try to use alternate routes.

Previously: 

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 are closed because of a wreck near Exit 11.

At 9:32 a.m., multiple vehicles crashed at mile marker 10, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

At 10:20, traffic was at a standstill between Exits 4 and 11.

Eastbound traffic will be allowed to get off at Exits 4 and 8 and re-routed toward Exit 11, where traffic will be able to re-enter I-24 eastbound, according to Clarksville Police Detective Michael Patterson.

Drivers should seek alternate routes.

Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
