UPDATE: Interstate 24 slow but clearing after wreck in Clarksville

Update, 6:05 p.m.: Traffic is clearing but remains slow through the area.

Update, 5:10 p.m.: Traffic is now backed up to about mile marker 2.

Update, 4:45 p.m.: Eastbound traffic is now backed up past Exit 4.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 eastbound is at a standstill in Clarksville after a wreck Thursday afternoon.

At 4:20 p.m., the wreck near mile marker 9 had eastbound traffic backed up past Exit 8 to about mile marker 5.
