Update, 5 p.m.: Eastbound I-24 traffic is mostly back to normal between Exits 8 and 11.
Update, 4:40 p.m.: Eastbound I-24 traffic appears to be clearing between Exits 8 and 11.
Westbound traffic is back to normal between Exits 8 and 4.
As usual, westbound traffic on I-24 in Kentucky is backed up because of construction. At 4:40 p.m., traffic was at a standstill back to Exit 1.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 is backed up in both directions in Clarksville, after wrecks on side roads.
At 4:30 p.m., the interstate was backed up westbound between Exits 8 and 4, and eastbound from Exit 8 to about mile marker 14.

There were seven wrecks in Clarksville Friday afternoon. Among them were wrecks on Needmore Road, Trenton Road near the 101st Airborne Division Parkway and two wrecks on Trenton near Exit 1, where police were diverting traffic.
