UPDATE: Interstate 24 clearing in Clarksville after wreck

Update, 7 p.m.: Traffic is a bit slow but mostly back to normal on Interstate 24.

Update, 6:45 p.m.: Traffic is beginning to clear, moving well starting around mile marker 15.

Update, 6:05 p.m.: Eastbound traffic is backed up from just before Exit 8, past Exit 11 to the wreck site at about mile marker 17.

The wreck involving multiple vehicles happened at about 5 p.m.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 was at a standstill in Clarksville following a wreck on Wednesday afternoon.

At 5:45 p.m., the eastbound lanes were stopped in two places: from about mile marker 17 to 12, with Exit 11 clear, then from about mile marker 10 to 6, with Exit 8 blocked.
