UPDATE: Injury wreck, fire hydrant repair tie up traffic on Providence, Riverside and Kraft in Clarksville

Update, 4:30 p.m.: Providence southbound traffic is backed up past Dover Crossing. Northbound traffic is backed up on Riverside, Second and Kraft.

Update, 4:15 p.m.: Traffic through the area is also affected by lane closures by Clarksville Gas & Water. They have closed 100 feet of the westbound lanes of Providence between Oak Street and E Street and have shifted traffic to the center turning lane due to fire hydrant repair work, according to a news release.

The fire hydrant repair work should be finished and the lanes reopened by 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An injury wreck has tied up traffic downtown at Riverside Drive and Kraft Street.

At 4 p.m., Providence Boulevard southbound was backed up to Dover Crossing, and northbound was backed up from Peachers Mill Road past the Riverside intersection.
