Update, 6:30 p.m.: Westbound traffic is now mostly clear through the state line, with a lingering backup in Kentucky before Exit 89.

Update, 5:55 p.m.: Traffic is beginning to clear, and is now backed up to mile marker 3.

Update, 5:45 p.m.: Traffic is now backed up to about mile marker 5.

Update, 5:10 p.m.: Westbound traffic is now backed up to Exit 4.

Previously: 

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Interstate 24 westbound is closed just north of the state line for a tractor trailer wreck.

Drivers reported the interstate was shut down just past the Red River bridge, at about mile marker 91, and photos showed a jack-knifed FedEx truck.

As of 4:50 p.m., traffic was backed up into Tennessee past Exit 1 to about mile marker 3.
