Update, 6:30 p.m.: 44-year-old David McCullough of Cumberland City, and 30-year-old Rasha Hall of McEwen, Tennessee died in the accident, according to the preliminary accident report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
A 10-year-old that was in the car with Hall was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Their condition is unknown.
McCullough, in a 2001 Red Ford F-150, was traveling east on Highway 149, and Hall, in a 2020 Blue Chevrolet Spark, was traveling west according to THP.
The F-150 crossed the center line into the Spark’s lane of travel, and the vehicles collided head-on.
The Spark rotated counter clockwise and struck the guard rail face and came to final rest facing east in the westbound lane. The F-150 rolled over top of the Spark with Hall and the 10-year-old inside, rotated counter clockwise, overturned and came to final rest on its top on the other side of the north-facing guardrail.
All involved were wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed, according to THP. Hall attempted to slow down and use the shoulder to avoid the crash, but was unable to maneuver out of the way of the F-150, according to THP
Update, 5:15 p.m.: At least two people were killed in the crash, which involved multiple vehicles, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.
A red Ford F-150 rolled over after a collision with a blue sedan, according to Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media.
Update, 4:50 p.m.: The highway is back open, but traffic is moving slowly through the area.

Update, 1:40 p.m.: Ed Baggett, director of the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency, said the wreck involved two vehicles.
Two individuals had to be extricated, or cut out from the car. One was taken to a nearby hospital, and the other was flown via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
No other information was immediately available.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – State Highway 149 south of Clarksville is closed because of a wreck.
As of 12:50 p.m., the highway was closed in both directions, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The closure is between Yellow Creek and Cumberland City.
There’s no ETA on when it will reopen.
