CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A semi-tractor trailer crashed with a Jeep Monday morning on Interstate 24.

At about 8 a.m., the vehicles crashed in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 8, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted onto Exit 8, which allows traffic to cross Rossview Road and get right back on I-24 eastbound, Beaubien said.

At 8:30, traffic was backed up to about mile marker 6. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.
