CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car while trying to cross Tiny Town Road on Thursday.

At about 5:11 p.m., the child was trying to cross the highway at Jockey Drive and was hit by a car going eastbound, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.

Images from the scene indicate the car was a Honda CRV.

The child is being flown to Nashville by LifeFlight helicopter. No further information has been released.

The eastbound lanes of Tiny Town were shut down, and motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
