CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A semi crashed head-on with a car Saturday afternoon on the Bypass.
At about 3:49 p.m., the vehicles collided near 2501 Highway 41A Bypass, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The semi-truck left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch near Appleton Harley-Davidson and has leaked diesel fuel. As a result, the Bypass was completely shut down in a section between Ashland City Road and Madison Street. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternate route until the roadway can be safely cleared.
Emergency crews were working to extricate the driver of the car. The extent of the injuries has not been released.
Responding were CPD, Clarksville Fire Rescue and Montgomery County EMS.
