Update, 8:35 a.m.: The roadway is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Five vehicles crashed on the Bypass Monday morning, completely closing the roadway.
At about 6:56 a.m., the vehicles crashed at 1369 Ashland City Rd. (41A Bypass), near the Ferguson Gallery. The Bypass was completely shut down, and motorists were advised to seek an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
At 7:30 a.m., eastbound traffic was backed up to Cumberland Drive. Westbound was backed up to Ashland City Road.
