Update, 1:40 p.m.: The roadway is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Four vehicles crashed on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway Tuesday afternoon.

At about 12:56 p.m. the vehicles crashed on the 101st at Trenton Road, and there are injuries, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien. The status of the injuries is unknown but do not appear to be life-threatening.

The eastbound lanes were shut down, and one westbound lane was shut down, causing major traffic congestion. Westbound traffic was backed up to Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

The roadway is expected to be blocked until about 2:30 p.m., and motorists are advised to avoid the area or find alternate routes until the roadway is cleared.
