Traci Virgillito Welty, age 49, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
She was a talented visual artist and proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. Traci had a love of great films, rollercoasters and the perfect margarita. Her deep commitment to family was evident in how she lived her life.
Traci will be remembered lovingly by her two beautiful daughters, Lauren Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Elise, the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of her kindness, sense of humor and gentle spirit will live on through them.
She is also survived by her parents, Lou Virgillito (Kathleen) and Peggie Welch (John); her sister, Amanda; her brother, Vincent; her beloved aunt and uncle, Judy and Don and many close family and friends. Traci was predeceased by her brother, Daniel; grandparents, Lottie and Edward; grandmother, Maria and cousin, Andrea.
A celebration of life service for Traci will be Friday, June 18 at 3 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Traci will later be interred at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Traci’s name to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.
