CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Toys ‘R’ Us is returning to Clarksville, but with a different approach. The new Toys ‘R’ Us will be a store inside Governor’s Square Mall, opening just in time for Christmas 2026.
Operated by Go! Retail Group, the new shop is touted to offer a smaller, easy-to-shop Toys ‘R’ Us experience, with a curated assortment of popular toys and brands including Lego, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Nerf, PAW Patrol, and more, according to a news release.
Clarksville is one of 120 locations nationwide getting a Toys ‘R’ Us store as part of the expansion, according to Forbes Magazine. Toys ‘R’ Us operated a large standalone store in Clarksville at Governor’s Square next to Chuck E. Cheese until national bankruptcy in 2017.
The new store inside the mall will be open year-round and is tentatively scheduled to open in October. It will occupy approximately 7,200 square feet in the Belk concourse, across from Shoe Dept. Encore.
