CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW.COM) – A rock band from Hollywood, California made a stop in Clarksville Wednesday to support a local pet adoption group.

Stitched Up Heart performed an impromptu unplugged set Wednesday sponsored by radio station Z97.5 to benefit Precious Friends Puppy Rescue and Adoption on Kraft Street.

The volunteer no-kill shelter provides placement for pets.

Stitched Up Heart’s lead singer Mixi Demner, has a passion for shelter pets and often does fund raising events while on tour.

Stitched Up Heart returns to middle Tennessee June 7 with a show at Exit / In Nashville.

The album Never Alone is scheduled for release June 17.
