Tony Ray Christy, age 71, of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Tony was born February 25, 1952, in Dickson County, TN the son of the late Roy Lee and Cilla Marie Swaw Christy. He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Stephenson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Christy, two sons, Jamey Ray Christy and Clint Matthew (April Traversino) Christy; three brothers, Wilson (Lillian) Christy, Nelson (Barbara) Christy and Steve (Karen) Christy; two sisters, Verda Mai (Ed) Michelli and Sarah (Craig) Drenthe; five grandchildren, Jimmie Christy, Devin Christy, Jeremy Christy, Paris Christy and Cherish Christy; one great granddaughter, Violet Christy.
Tony was a member of Gray’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene. He was owner and operator of Tony Christy Roofing Company and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
