CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – If you’ve been looking for a unique taste experience there’s a new place in town. Tommy’s Old Fashion Jerky & Smokies is now open in Clarksville. Tommy’s is unique to the city and even to the state. The store is the 21st Tommy’s location and the only one of its kind in Clarksville and the first in Tennessee.

Owner, Ron Uglow, said the store features over 20 different variety’s of jerky and around 15 different types of smokies. You’ll find all of the most popular selections of jerky like buffalo, elk and venison, along with special items like alligator, kangaroo and salmon.

You’ll also find more than just jerky and smokies at Tommy’s. There’s kettle corn, deep fried peanuts along with a great selection of barbecue sauces, meat rubs and seasonings. The kids will find a corner toy selection and if you’re in the market for a special candle, Tommy’s may just have what you’re looking for.

When Uglow was asked why he decided to open a jerky business in Clarksville, he said he and his wife were visiting relatives in Ohio and stopped by a Tommy’s Jerky Outlet. He said he was overwhelmed by the customer service, the environment of the business and the robust taste of the products found in the store.

Uglow extended an invitation to come by for a new experience. “We welcome everybody, we’ll give you a good warm greeting, we want you to try all of our jerkys and smokies and we also give out free samples,” said Uglow. He said they also sell their products in bulk which is a good way to get a variety of flavors.

Tommy’s is celebrating their grand opening Friday, January 31-Sunday, February 2 with a grand prize drawing for a Day on the Lake. The first 100 customers are eligible to win a guided fishing trip for 2 on Kentucky Lake with professional bass/walleye guide Mike McCoyu.
