KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- Congratulations to everyone on a great day of racing on Saturday in Knoxville.
The girls varsity team finished fifth in the state and the girls JV team finished third in the state, each team receiving awards (with Elisa and Layla finishing 7th and 18th on girls JV and receiving individual trophies). The boys varsity team finished 16th in the state and the boys JV team also finished 16th in the state.
This is the largest and most competitive meet we have participated in this season. We ran against the best in the state and everyone did very well. It was a great experience and we have every confidence that we will be there yet again next year. Our times were slower due to the amount of runners on the course and the difficulty with passing on a narrow path. Additionally, everyone in these races can run well! This isn’t your typical regular season meet.
