GALLATIN, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Madison man has set the new state record for tilapia caught in Tennessee waters.
According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Gary Phelps caught the 7 pounds, 6.6 ounces fish near the Gallatin Steam Plant.
He stopped by the Nashville TWRA office this week to have his catch certified.
