CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Beginning on Jan. 1, 2019, grocery stores in the state of Tennessee will be able to sell wine on Sundays.
The bill was signed by Gov. Bill Haslam earlier this year.
Under the new law, liquor stores are already allowed to be open seven days a week. Liquor stores can be opened from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Wine will not be sold on Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas days. It will be sold on New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
