CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Two local Tip-a-Cop events held at Strawberry Alley Ale Works and O’Charley’s- Riverside Drive,  to raise funds for Special Olympics Tennessee, Clarksville citizens dug deep and donated generously, raising $3,800.

“We have to give a special thanks to Strawberry Alley Ale Works and O’Charley’s Riverside Drive for hosting the events,” said Jim Knoll, Clarksville Police spokesman, “The staff at both locations were amazing and we’re kind enough to allow the officers to work alongside of them and really put forth the extra effort to support the fundraising efforts.”
Amy Parker, VP of Marketing and Development with Special Olympics Tennessee said Clarksville Police Department raised a total of $3,800 for the athletes of Special Olympics.
“This is simply amazing and we cannot thank you enough for your time and support,” Parker said.
Clarksville Police will also participate in Austin Peay State University’s  Polar Plunge “Freezin for a Reason.”
