CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening in Middle Tennessee.

 Clarksville-Montgomery County has a marginal threat for serious weather. 

According to meteorologist at the National Weather Services in Nashville, a few strong storms with isolated severe thunderstorms are possible in mainly southern and eastern Middle Tennessee from about 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Strong winds, small hail, brief downpours, and isolated tornados are not out of the question in some parts of Tennessee.

A wind advisory is in effect until 3 p.m., with wind gust are coming out of the south at around 40 mph.

A system on Saturday is expected to bring storms as well, but at this point they don’t look severe.
