Forecasters say brace for heavy thunderstorms today and possible flooding.
“This is not an organized flash flooding type of event,” said Meteorologist Jason Wright with the National Weather Service office in Nashville. “You may have a strong thunderstorm develop for a brief period that might cause some localized flooding in low lying areas,” Wright said.
The most intense rainfall could come anywhere between noon and 6:00 pm.
