CLARKSVILE, Tenn. – Three vehicles, including a patrol car, were involved in a crash Friday morning on Fort Campbell Blvd. near Gate 1.

According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), a burgundy Toyota Corolla driven by Kenneth P. Fornof (22) of Gleason, TN was broken down in the middle turn lane facing northbound around 7 a.m. Officer Thomas Walker stopped to assist the driver and parked his vehicle in the turn lane nose to nose with the Corolla and activated the blue lights.

While the vehicles were waiting for a tow truck, a gray Ford Ranger driven by James B. Hahner (56) of Clarksville, travelling northbound, swerved off the right side of the road, then swerved back onto the road towards the left lanes and rear-ended the Corolla, causing it to collide with the patrol car.

Both Fornof and Officer Walker were in their vehicles at the time of the crash and were transported to Gateway Medical Center. Fornof had minor injuries to his neck and back and Officer Walker had a minor knee injury.

Hahner was cited for reasonable care and suffered possible chest injuries from his seatbelt. There is no further information at this time.
