CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – At least three pets were killed in a house fire on Jostin Dr. Monday morning in Clarksville.
Fire Marshal Ray Williams said the call came in at 9:55 a.m. after a witness saw smoking coming from the basement area.
Firefighters from stations 1 and 4 responded to the home at 10 a.m. and extinguished the fire by 10:20.
The home sustained heavy smoke damage and the family is currently displaced.
No one was home at the time and no one was injured, but firefighters recovered the bodies of two dogs and one cat. Another cat is missing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
