CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Three people were detained and one person has been charged after a report of shots being fired in the 400 block of Woodale Drive Sunday at 4:46 p.m.
Police on the scene were told the shots came from a black Hyundai with several people inside the vehicle. Shortly after the description of the vehicle was released three suspects were detained. There were no reports of injuries from the incident.
Jarlen Corbin, a 22-year-old Clarksville resident who was detained soon after the shooting occurred, was charged with Aggravated Burglary, Violation of Probation, Possessing a Weapon during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Evading Arrest and Simple Drug Possession.
Two victims at the scene told police that Corbin entered their home without consent and knocked over a television, which resulted in an altercation that moved outside. They said Corbin pulled out a handgun and fired six shots before fleeing the scene in a black Hyundai.
Police tracked down the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, but Corbin got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. He was caught and taken into custody. One of the victims positively identified him in a photo lineup.
Corbin was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Sunday with a bond of $82,000.
The investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information related to the incident they are asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 931-645-TIPS (8477).
