NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A trooper accidentally shot himself, according to a spokesman with Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The trooper, who has not been identified, was reportedly handling his weapon when there was an “accidental discharge.”
The trooper was off-duty when this happened and is receiving medical care, said Lieutenant Bill Miller. The injury is not life-threatening.
The incident is still under investigation.
