HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A third teenager has died following a crash that killed two other teens in Hopkinsville last weekend, according to WKRN News 2.

Hopkinsville police said the crash happened around midnight Saturday along Fort Campbell Boulevard near South Walnut Street.

Lieutenant Seth Meek told News 2 the third victim died at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. That victim plus another were flown to Nashville hospitals. Police reported they were in critical, but stable condition Sunday morning.

TriStar Skyline Medical Center identified the teen as 15-year-old Kaylee Lane.

Police told News 2 that it appears the driver may have been speeding at the time of the crash and lost control.

Friends say they had attended prom earlier that evening.

17-year-old Jacory Burse and 16-year-old Darius Majors died on the scene.

Christian County Schools released a statement regarding the two students lost in the accident:

“Christian County Public Schools lost two students in a terrible traffic accident today. Our hearts are broken and our thoughts and prayers remain with their friends and families. We have reached out to their families to let them know we are here for them and CCPS will have grief counselors onsite tomorrow at Christian County and Hopkinsville High Schools so the students’ friends may grieve this tragedy together. Our thoughts and prayers also remain with the other two students in the accident as they are recover.”
