CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are looking for suspects who broke into shipping containers and stole four Samsung front-load washers valued at approximately $3,000.
According to police, the thieves broke into several shipping containers at the 2100 block of Wilma Rudolph Blvd. before they found one with the new washers inside.
The suspects were driving a black older model pickup, possibly with a missing tailgate, and loaded the appliances in the back. Police said the pickup appeared to have hit an open pod door with the front of the truck as it was backing up before leaving the scene.
“We wanted to make business owners aware that shipping containers were broken into and to take extra precautions to watch or secure your containers,” Clarksville Police Department Department spokesman Jim Knoll said.
