CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Runners Hub has moved to a new, larger location at 2141 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville.

Store owner Sara Esterby said the store moved from its previous location downtown because the store was not flourishing in that area. “Downtown was a great starting point for us but we weren’t seeing the growth we wanted,” she said.

As the Runners Hub approaches its third anniversary, Esterby felt it was time to move to an area with more visibility and traffic to help expand the business.

The new storefront officially opened its doors Dec. 14 and will hold a grand opening celebration in January after the holidays.

The Runners Hub is a specialty store where all of the employees are runners with varying levels of experience. “Everyone here runs and everyone here likes to run so they enjoy talking about it,” Esterby said.

Customers can also run on a treadmill in the store while being taped in order to evaluate their running styles and needs before making a purchase.

The Runners Hub hosts free group runs every Thursday at 5:30 p.m., beginning at 127 Franklin St. Despite the move, the runs will still be held in this area for safety purposes.

The group runs are open to everyone, and new runners will be partnered with those who already know the routes to help them.
