CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) — The Tabernacle Church in North Clarksville is slated to break ground in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony March 24, launching the construction of a new 45,000 square-foot facility.
The new addition of the building will feature a spacious foyer for the community to gather. There will also be a new Global Cafe that will benefit Going Global, the local and international outreach arm of The Tabernacle Church. The building will house a new 1,200-seat auditorium for worship gatherings.

The church’s existing 13,000 square-foot building will be fully renovated to become a new auditorium for students and children. The property will house 452 new parking spaces for plenty of room for those coming to attend Sunday worship gatherings.
The Tabernacle Church has its roots in the 1970s on “Can’t Find It” Ridge in Indian Mound, Tenn. Pastors Anthony & Julia Daley became the Senior Pastors of the ministry in 2003. At that time, the church was gathering in an old Army barracks building in Indian Mound. In 2005, the church built a facility in Stewart County on HWY 79. That building is now the location of The Tabernacle Church – Stewart County Campus.

In 2010, The Tabernacle Church expanded into a multi-campus church and began gathering at a storefront on Clarksville’s Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Church members quickly outgrew the space, and in 2012 they moved into their current facility on Garrettsburg Rd. The church now has more than 1,000 weekly attendees who call The Tabernacle Church home.
During the new construction phase, the church will temporarily move its Sunday gatherings to Northwest High School because of loss of parking. The project is expected to take about 12 months to complete. The church will launch its first Sunday March 31 at Northwest High School. Service times are scheduled for 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.
