CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Most schools are closed again today as Clarksville recovers from the biggest snow-storm in five years. Most roads are passable but there are still slippery spots and walking may be hazardous. Be careful on sidewalks and while stepping out of your car.
Sam Shemberger with the National Weather Service in Nashville said the area will begin to thaw out Monday. “We’re expecting a big warm up today. We’ll reach to near 50 degrees so there’s going to be major snow melt today on all of the roads and all the buildings. Almost all of the snow will probably be melted today that’s outside of shaded areas,” said Shemberger.
Also, flights out of Nashville to New York, New Jersey, Washington DC and Baltimore have been cancelled.
