CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Hardwood Grove was welcomed as a new member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon-cutting on Monday.

Owner Danny Bell said the store is a source for local woodworkers of beautiful, straight and kiln dry wood that’s ready to work.

“We’re stocking eight to ten species of hardwoods such as black walnut, cherry, maple, cedar, and oak, a lot of the species that woodworkers want to come grab off the shelf that they really can’t get anywhere else and that’s going to be immediately available,” said Bell.

Bell added that they have 30 species of wood at their mill in Cottage Grove, Tennessee, so if someone is looking for something more they can have it in a day or two and they can also supply larger volumes of wood.

The Hardwood Grove also features fine custom furniture that Bell makes himself.

“As a woodworker, I wanted to showcase what I do,” Bell said. “There’s really no place where you can go buy fine made furniture that’s locally made by someone in a consistent manner.”

The Hardwood Grove can be found at 2535 Madison Street, they are open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the stores hours may extend in the future.
