CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Police Department has released new information about the shooting that left two dead on Thanksgiving Day in northeast Clarksville.

When responding police officers arrived to the scene on Nov. 26 around 2:30 p.m., they found two deceased individuals inside the residence on Eagle’s View Drive from what appeared to be a murder-suicide.

According to an update from CPD spokesman Detective Michael Patterson, the deceased were Demetria Rivers, 25, who died from a gunshot wound, and Shaw Rivers, 26, deceased from an apparent, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
