Terry Ronald Self, age 72, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Tri Star Summitt Medical Center in Hermitage.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mealer officiating. Burial will follow at Lowry Cemetery with full military honors.
The Self family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning.
Terry entered this life on April 19, 1952, in Detroit, MI, son to the late Grover Self and Marguerite Sylvester Self. Terry faithfully served his country in the United States Navy and later became a Registered Nurse where he would retire from Tennova Healthcare after many years of service. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and papaw to his family; he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Self, and sisters, Karen Self, and Shelia Self.
Survivors include his loving children, Kathrene Luffman, Jerry Self, Jeff Pulliam (Kim), James Dooley Bryant (Sharon); siblings, Larry (Dianne) Self, Kenneth (Dottie) Self, Claudette Johnson, and Darlene (Randy) Tanner. Terry also leaves behind his grandchildren, Darren Self, Tiffany Luffman, Brandi Luffman, Scott Luffman, Larresa Wilson, Bethany Wiener, Tim Pulliam, along with many beloved great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Schmidt, Paul Varden, Jessie Massie, Michael Mealer, Dawayne Powell, Brian Self, Dwayne Johnson, and Terry Self.
