CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The new Tennova Sango ER hosted an open house for the community to tour the facility on November 29, 2017.

Shawn Molsberger Chief Operating Officer says, “It’s hard to believe that we stood here on February 22 of this year and there was nothing but dirt. Now nine months later we have an 11,700 square-foot facility.”

The facility will function as an ER by being open 24/7 and treating life threating conditions on site. The facility is equipped to do x-rays, CT scans, in house lab work and ultrasounds. If further care needs to be provided or the patient needs to be admitted to the hospital they will be transported to the main campus in Clarksville.

There are two triage areas, eight exam rooms for critical patients and a decontamination area. The nurses also had a say in the design of the facility.

RN Nicole Cooper says she feels that she can take care of patients better because of the proximity of supplies, staff and access to patients.

The Tennova Sango ER, located at 1325 Hwy 76 next to the Sudden Service Convenience Store at Exit 11, is set to officially open sometime near mid-December. For more information on Tennova Healthcare visit the Tennova Clarksville website.
