CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Military Warriors Support Foundation joined forces with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation to present a wounded military veteran with a “mortgage free” home Tuesday, August 19. The presentation was made at a Military Homeownership “Boot Camp” event held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center in Clarksville.

Marshall Lane of Johnson City, Tennessee was a member of the Outlaw Platoon and was wounded while serving in Afghanistan. Lane talked about the home which he and his family have lived in for the past few months. “It’s absolutely amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better house, it’s really great,” said Lane.

Also appearing at the event was retired Army Ranger, Captain Sean Parnell. Parnell is the New York Times best-selling author of “Outlaw Platoon” who spoke to the crowd about his experiences in the Army and signed copies of his book.
