CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A very special young lady from Clarksville paid a visit to the Five Star Media Group on Thursday, March 12. Kaylie Hill, Tennessee Miss Amazing Preteen Queen, spent time talking with the staff at the radio stations and ClarksvilleNow.com.

Everyone wanted to pose for a photo with Hill, because after winning the state pageant in January, this awesome 10-year-old is now making her plans to head to Los Angeles, California for the 2015 National Miss Amazing Pageant.

In an interview Hill talked about her competition in the Miss Amazing pageant in Franklin, Tennessee. “It’s a good opportunity for girls that have disabilities to discover what they can accomplish,” Hill said. Adding that she was very excited to be able to compete in the national event.

The Miss Amazing Pageant is a division of Miss Amazing Inc., a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 whose mission is to provide opportunities for girls and women five years and older with disabilities to build self confidence through the skills learned in pageantry.

Hill was accompanied on her visit by her mother, Susan who affectionately calls herself Kaylie’s assistant. Her mom admitted, very proudly, that when they are out together making special appearances at events, most of the attention is of course on her daughter.

I first met Hill, who has Cerebral Palsy, when she did a fantastic performance of the Star Spangled Banner at the Buddy Bowl football game in January. She enjoys music, singing, and cheerleading in the Upward league at First Baptist Church in Clarksville.

Hill leads a very active lifestyle and when she is not at one of her many special appearances or spending time with her friends in the Buddy Ball Special Needs Athletic League, she loves watching WWE wrestling with her dad, Jason, and helping animals in need.

The trip to Los Angeles for the National Miss Amazing Pageant is set for July 24-28 and she is looking for sponsors to help with the cost of making the trip. The family estimates it will take around $5,000 to attend the pageant.
